Mitchell is a Member of The American Academy of Dermatology and a Member of The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He is widely recognized as a leading surgeon in his field and specializes in cosmetic and corrective procedures. Dr. Jesse D. Mitchell is a former co-director of the Cosmetic Surgery Department and director of Cosmetic Surgery Research at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Mitchell maintains offices in Newport Beach and San Bernardino and is the Medical Director of the Inland Empire Outpatient Surgery Center of San Bernardino.

Dr. Mitchell earned his Bachelor of Science Magna Cum Laude, at Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama. He then completed his MD degree with a North Carolina Board Governor's Medical Scholarship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He served a surgical internship at Case Western Reserve University followed by his internal medicine and dermatology residences at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.  Dr. Mitchell concluded his education and training with a cosmetic surgery residency at the Graduate Hospital of Philadelphia affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania.
